Sarah has broad experience in various aspects of commercial law including strategic alliances, joint ventures, partnering, distribution, supply, management, franchising and other ‘relationship’ contracts.
Sarah advises on outsourcing agreements, procurement and tenders, software licences, software development, implementation and support agreements electronic information networks and other commercial arrangements. Sarah also advises on privacy, internet and e-commerce issues and content and licensing agreements.
Sarah has drafted and advised on technology and business process outsourcing arrangements and service agreements including voucher processing and image archiving, telecommunications, technology platform services, mailroom, warehouse, distribution and transport outsourcing and facilities management agreements.
Sarah’s experience includes:
- drafting supply terms and advising on the establishment of an electronic supply system for a major retailer
- advising on various procurement issues and tender processes
- advising on complex regulatory issues relating to both “business as usual” and strategic matters
- providing advice on regulatory reform issues including drafting amendments to legislation
- advising on technology product and service arrangements and technology issues related to various acquisitions and outsourcing arrangements including transitional and shared service agreements
- advising on agreements to provide switching and other services for electronic funds transactions
- facilities management agreements, including arrangements with venue operators and various service providers such as hiring, catering, ticketing, retail services and merchandising agreements, and
- broadcasting, rights, new media and sponsorship agreements.
Sport, media and entertainment
In the last edition of Legal Profiles, Sarah was described as being ‘widely recognised as one of the country’s leading sport lawyers’ and as having ‘exceptional client orientation’. Sarah has advised numerous bodies involved in the sports industry, including international and national sporting federations and organisations, private team owners, sports managers, event promoters, sponsors, wagering operators, sports venue owners, operators and hirers. She has drafted constituent documents for sporting bodies, advised on drug codes and policies, selection policies and drafted and negotiated management, sponsorship, broadcasting, licence, content, merchandise, signage, hiring and other agreements in the sport, media and entertainment fields.
