Current practice
Campbell is a partner in the Litigation group of Freehills. His practise covers contentious intellectual property and information technology matters and the provision of associated legal and strategic advice.
Campbell’s expertise includes trade marks (including anti-counterfeiting) copyright, patents, designs, breach of confidence, trade practices and licensing disputes. Campbell’s practise also includes IT, telecommunications and e-commerce-related matters, including regulatory and contractual aspects.
Campbell has had extensive experience in the negotiation, mediation and arbitration of intellectual property disputes and, where necessary, as a litigator before the courts. In that capacity, Campbell has assisted clients in many urgent interlocutory matters including contested applications for interim injunctive relief and ex parte applications for the freezing of assets (Mareva injunctions) and the search and seizure of evidence (Anton Pillar orders).

Professional background
Campbell holds an Honours degree in Law and a Bachelors degree in Commerce (majoring in Economics) from the University of Melbourne.
Campbell has been published on a range of intellectual property issues in journals such as the European Intellectual Property Journal, Managing IP and Copyright World, and is the editor of the Industrial Property section of the Australian Business Law Review.
Campbell is a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand.
