Andrew White is a Director in the Sydney office of Greenwoods & Freehills Pty Limited. Andrew commenced his career in 1993 with one of the major international accounting firms. Andrew was a Senior Manager in the tax division of this firm prior to joining Greenwoods & Freehills.

Andrew advises on a wide range of corporate tax issues, with a particular focus on the property and managed funds industry and international tax issues.
Andrew has particular experience in advising on the establishment and restructuring of property funds including stapled security structures, listed and unlisted trusts. Andrew has also provided extensive advice for Australian multinationals in relation to the structuring of their offshore investments. Andrew has particular expertise regarding the management of the controlled foreign company (CFC) and foreign investment fund (FIF) implications of offshore investments. Andrew has also advised on due diligence investigations and has been responsible for the management of compliance matters for several large corporate groups.
Recent matters that Andrew has advised on include GPT's recent stapling and entry into an offshore joint venture with Babcock & Brown, Investa Property Group's acquisition of Clarendon Property Group and extensive advice provided to Lend Lease on the CFC/FIF implications of their offshore investments.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Commerce from Macquarie University. Andrew is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
