Melanie advises both principals and contractors in the water, waste, mining, marine and health industries nationally and internationally. She has particular expertise in advising on the implementation of major infrastructure projects and construction, operations and maintenance agreements.
     
     Simon Haddy, Corporate, Melbourne
Simon is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets teams. He advises major corporations, including fund managers, on a diverse range of issues including negotiated acquisitions, takeovers and schemes of arrangement and equity capital raisings. He is the author of A Comparative Analysis of Directors’ Duties in a Range of Corporate Group Structures’, which was published in the Companies and Securities Law Journal, and is the co-author of a submission to Treasury on proposed reforms to the regulation of Australia’s capital markets.
     
  Greg Hing, Projects, Sydney
Greg has a broad range of experience in commercial property practice, including acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial and retail properties, property development, landlord and tenant leasing, corporate relocation strategies and advising on the property related aspects of financing transactions and major corporate mergers and acquisitions. Greg holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (with First Class honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Master of Laws from New York University.
     
  Shane Kyriakou, Projects, Melbourne
Shane has broad infrastructure, energy and M&A experience, and particular experience in the acquisition and development of IPP power projects, upstream and midstream oil & gas developments and pipeline projects. In addition, he advises governments, state-owned enterprises and private corporations in relation to public international law and law of the sea, with particular regard to major cross-boarder energy projects.
     
  Justin Little, Corporate, Perth
Justin’s expertise lies in general commercial and operational areas of law, with a particular emphasis on mining and resources clients. He has advised clients in both the mineral and oil & gas industry, and has extensive experience in drafting and advising on the terms of joint venture agreements. He has also advised clients on the establishment of Greenfield developments in Western Australia, and has advised on a number of acquisitions and disposals of resource companies and assets in Australia and overseas. He has regularly taught the Mining and Natural Resources Law unit at the Faculty of Law, Murdoch University.
   
  Lucy McCullagh, Banking & Finance, Melbourne
Lucy specialises in project finance, acquisition finance and large-scale corporate finance. Her practice involves acting for a range of financial institutions including leading banks and investment banks, as well as borrowers and sponsors in relation to a broad range of finance transactions. She has worked as a solicitor in Australia, London and Moscow.
     
  Hayley Neilson, Banking & Finance, Sydney
Hayley’s expertise lies in leveraged and acquisition finance, project finance and large-scale corporate finance. She has experience across numerous jurisdictions including Australia, Europe, Canada and the United States. She has contributed articles to leading law journals, including the Journal of International Banking and Financial Law, Journal of International Banking Law, Journal of Banking and Finance Law and Practice and the Australian Venture Capital Journal.
     
  Peter Paradise, Projects, Sydney
Peter has worked extensively in the projects and infrastructure industries in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe, particularly in the transport, road/rail, energy, defence, social infrastructure and technology sectors. His practice includes project finance, construction, facilities management, M&A and corporate advisory work, and he represents the Australian legal interests of a number of United States and foreign entities. He is currently completing a Master of Business Laws at the University of Sydney.
