Ike is an intellectual property lawyer and legal practitioner focusing on all aspects of trade marks, including searching, filing, portfolio management and protection.

Prior to joining Freehills Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys in 2006, Ike was a partner in a leading South African intellectual property firm for 18 years. Ike’s practice relates to trade mark registration and prosecution, trade mark portfolio management, as well as clearance work for advertising and promotional campaigns. Ike has significant experience in the valuation of intellectual property and the use of intellectual property as a commercial asset.  Ike’s experience includes advising large industrial and commercial enterprises, government agencies and universities. 

Ike has a Bachelor of Laws from University of South Africa, a Bachelor or Arts (Hons) and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Pretoria. Ike is a South African qualified lawyer and trade mark attorney, is qualified in the United Kingdom and admitted to practise in Australia.
