Freehills has promoted 54 solicitors to senior associate, reinforcing the strong talent pipeline in the firm and its commitment to developing its people.
The promotions include 32 women and 22 men and have been made across all practice groups in the firm.
Freehills’ CEO, Gavin Bell said the number of promotions this year is similar to that in June 2009 and reflects a strong talent pool coming through the ranks.
‘Freehills appoints its senior associates purely on merit which makes this number of promotions particularly pleasing,’ he said. ‘It means that we have the legal and commercial talents to provide our clients with exceptional service and advice.
‘I’d like to congratulate all our new senior associates and wish them luck in their future careers.’
Freehills’ Director of People & Development, Gareth Bennett said that the strength of Freehills’ talent pipeline had been helped by its decisions over the last 18 months.
‘By maintaining our graduate intake and not making any legal redundancies last year we are now in a better position to offer our clients the most talented people, to provide the best commercially relevant legal advice.’
Greenwoods & Freehills made an additional two promotions to senior associate.
