Work-life integration

Our vision is to create an exceptional experience for our people. We understand how important it is to maintain a healthy balance between all aspects of your life, and that this includes having a fulfilling work environment and being supported to achieve your full potential.

We have a range of initiatives in place to help staff integrate their career with the other important aspects of their lives: health, leisure pursuits and family responsibilities.

We support innovative work practices for staff members who have responsibilities outside of work.

Remote access and portable technology assists lawyers in taking a flexible approach to their work hours, while still meeting the needs of clients operating in a demanding business environment.

Our continuous learning and development programs include personal enrichment opportunities.

Freehills has collaborated with other firms and the College of Law in the Resilience@law program to raise awareness and understanding of the nature and impact of stress,  depression and anxiety across the legal profession. We support all staff through our Employee Assistance Program, which provides a confidential external counselling service to assist you or your family with any personal stresses or concerns that may be affecting your quality of life.

We also encourage staff to become involved in many sporting and fitness opportunities. These activities are either held during lunchtimes or on weekends. We have teams in corporate netball competitions, fun runs, marathons, bushwalking and rowing competitions, to name a few.
