Our Brisbane office invites approximately 20-27 penultimate year law students to spend part of their summer or winter vacation with us. We run three programs annually—two programs in summer and one in winter. Clerkships run for four weeks in summer and three weeks in winter. During the clerkship you’ll be placed in one practice group where you’ll be involved in real work as well as a variety of networking and training seminars.
Key dates for 2012 are:
- Applications open on Monday 27 February 2012
- Applications close on Monday 26 March 2012 (5.00pm AEST)
- Interviews commence on Tuesday 10 April 2012
- Priority offers will be made on Monday 14 May 2012
- Offers for vacation clerkships must be accepted or declined by Wednesday 16 May 2012 (5.00pm AEST)

During the 2012–13 clerkship program we will be offering up to two clerks the opportunity to spend some time in our Singapore office in addition to completing a clerkship in one of our Australian offices. See our Working in our Singapore Office page for more information about what to expect when working in Singapore.
You will need to apply for a clerkship in one of our Australian offices. You should submit your application online via cvMail during the application period for that office.
You will be asked to indicate whether you are also interested in a clerkship in Singapore. If you are successful you will be offered the opportunity to spend some time in our Singapore office after you have satisfactorily completed your Australian vacation clerkship.
