Michael Ziegelaar is a partner in the Freehills Corporate group. His practice includes fundraisings, negotiated and hostile acquisitions, private equity and outsourcings.

Michael is the co-head of the Freehills Equity Capital Markets group.

Michael acts for a number of clients and financial intermediaries. He is the relationship partner for a number of the firm’s major clients.

Major projects Michael has worked on include:

• IPO’s of Telstra (tranches 1, 2 and 3), Austock, Becton, Clive Peeters Funtastic, MCM, Orchard, Pacific Brands, Promina and Transurban 
• wholesale fundraisings, hybrid offerings, fund mergers and staplings
• takeovers and negotiated acquisitions for ABC Learning Centres, Becton, Funtastic,  Macquarie Bank, San Miguel Corporation and Telecom Venture Group
• outsourcing of the Commonwealth and Coles vehicle fleets, and
• ABC Learning Centres, Centro and Coles corporate restructures.
