Freehills takes wins in ALB awards



Freehills has claimed a number of accolades in this year’s ALB 2006 Australasian Law Awards, with several of the firm’s practice groups sharing in the spotlight.

Freehills’ Capital Markets team, which is part of the broader Corporate group, won the 'Australian Deal Team of the Year' award, having acted on two of the three biggest floats in 2005 (Goodman Fielder and SP AusNet). The team also played a key role in a number of significant hybrid and debt market transactions during the year.

Freehills’ Corporate group also came away with a number of other awards for its key role on several Deals of the Year.
 
SP AusNet’s initial public offering (IPO) won the 'Equity Market Deal of the Year'. Freehills acted for the vendor, Singapore Power on this transaction, which was the first concurrent IPO and listing in Australia and Singapore.

Allco Max Securities and Mortgage Trust won the 'Debt Market Deal of the Year' award. In this deal key Freehills people were involved in establishing the structure, acting for the treasury adviser and acting for the cash manager and security trustee. We also acted for Allco Max on its initial public offering of equity securities.
